Victoria Towing Regulations
Here are the current rules for Towing Trailable Yachts on Victorian roads.

Now that was a good document! I have just measured my RL24 and trailer and my unit now complies with the above Victorian information bulletin with regard to overhangs. I see I was wrong in stating the max width was 2.5 metres when it was 2 metre (I will correct)! I see that a regulatory exemption was approved and published in the Vic Government Gazette in February 2004 to the Vic Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999.

What a mess, I see YV states that the new Australian National Standards complies only to trailers built after June 1989, but Vic Roads in March 2001 in their Vehicle Standards Information sheet No9 says NOT SO! They have a check sheet for all the old pre 1991 trailers which I will copy over and put in the website.
