storage registration
I haven't used my boat for quite some time and seem to be paying registration for nothing. I have no immediate plans to take the boat out in the near future so was wondering if I let the registration lapse is it hard to gert it re registered? is there a road worthy or something similar or do you just pay the fee. It is unfortunate and a little sad but due to work and family health makes taking boat out not an option in the near future. Boat would also need a good scrub to get dust off and issues of age sitting is shed dealt with. Thanks in advance - the Boat is Queensland registered.

Re: storage registration
In QLD to the best of my understanding, the biggest hassle is keeping the trailer registered. New trailer registration will have all sorts of complications like weight and brakes etc. I don't know about vessele registration. Sad to hear you can't use your boat, I know what that feels like. M Qld

Re: storage registration
I think, in Queensland, that there is no requirement for new registration's (for boats) except that you pay the $$.

If you have gas fitted to the boat then that adds some complications but that's about it.

The only thing you should be aware of in Qyeensland, is that you will be issued with a new registration number for your boat. If you have your current rego number on it, you will need to remove that and put your new rego number on when you re-register it.

That is for Queensland (as far as I know). I am not sure about any other states.
