RL28 keel
My keel is self lowering over 3 days. Do other 28's have this problem? How long do other keels stay up? Had the pump repaired of its fluid leak and cannot find any other leakage.

Re: RL28 keel
Stuart.
If no fluid is showing anywhere, then most likely the problem would be the valve in the pump unit that opens to allow the fluid back in to the reservour when the keel is lowered, is not seating properly when closed.
When hydraulics are in good condition there should br no movement of the keel at all. However with the passing of years, seals do tend to deteriorate, and as a temporary fix it is not difficult to make a prop between the keel case and the fork on the ram to hold the keel up when not in use.
