We are trying to remove a centreboard from an RL34 for treatment and we are having trouble as we seem to be hitting the roof of the cabin!

Can anyone offer any suggestions

Re: Centreboard
Your RL34 keel would have been fitted after the deck--- cabin was assembled, and the trick is to swing the keel top aft as you raise it the last 20cm.
See sketch and you will understand.
If this does not work then you may not have an origonal cast iron keel, and would have to remove it by lifting the boat and dropping it through the bottom.
