I have an RL24 and use a system similar to that described by Phil Gardam - with the exception that I run a line
through a block on the bow back to the winches in the cockpit. This enables me to manually assist the lift, use
the winches to ease the lift and lock off the line using existing cleats.
Anyway, because rigs vary, particularly with vessel size the attached spreadsheet and graph may help people
understand the force required to lift their rig and optimise the length of prop (interposed beam) used.
