RL28 Rig
I am not a RL owner but have a complete RL28 rig which I purchased the required mast, boom, shrouds, halyards and fittings etc through Rob Legg in 1979/80. About 1976 I designed a 26 ft trailer yacht from a blank page, constructed a 1/12 scale radio controlled model with the RL 28 sized rig and sailed a successful series of tests with the co-operation of a waterhole in the Todd River and nice summer winds. I then commenced construction in aluminum. I also had the opportunity to sail occasionally with Ron Brown in Darwin in his RL 28. Having eventually got to a point I now face the task of fitting this rig and its controls together. As I still live in Alice Springs and have no access to an RL28 so I wonder if someone could assist me with a rig and deck layout for all the lines, fittings etc. I purchased 1979. I also find I need a set of end caps for the RL streamlined spreader. I am thankful that the RL discussion page is still alive and I hope someone can help with advice.
