Just a reminder that the nomination date 16 April looms closer. After that it gets dearer.
The nomination form is available on the Hervey Bay Sailing Club web site. If you want a form that you can e-mail in, Col Verrall can provide one.
There should be a good roll up of RL's again this year.
Do we look on this as a practice run for the nationals?
Hi Mike great idear, this is good chance for all the RLs to sail to class and see how there boat performs and if we get all the boats that go in the B2B to go in the nationals we will have one of the biggest fleets ever and take it from me the nationals regatta is the best week on and off the water you could have.
Now when we are all at the bay to bay the southport boys ( 3 24's at this stage and one support boat ) are trying to get all the RL24's and RL28's boats together at garry's for a get to gether. So we can fill you in on what is happening about the nationals and to get to know each other as well
At this stage we are working with a sponsor who is willing to put on a few beers and prizes for the RL24's in return for contact details for owners of RL24's and 28's to help get boats to the nationals next year.
Also if you would like to get your sails measured and stamped so you know your sail area please let me know as I will be up in tin can on the friday and would be happy to run a tape over any sails before the race.
hello eveyone, question, how many RLs are in this years Bay to Bay? Good luck to you all, have fun.... wish I could come up to watch you all race this year but will be away with work, I hope we see you next year racing on the Gold Coast.. Jenni (Legg Junior :-) ) Rob and June Leggs daughter
