    Mast Footing RL28
    Does anybody know where or what brand the mast footing on an RL28 is sourced from.
    It is an Al. casting with rope Blocks each side and two "Legs" for the pin on the deck fitting. One of the "Legs" has broken off when lowering the mast last time. It may be able to be welded! though the metal is very crystaline at the fracture.

    It is very difficult to find replacement Mast steps but they can certainly be welded. I broke the same pin mount when I forgot to remove a pulley when lowering the mast but a marine welder repaired it and reinforced it. Stronger than the original.
