Does anyone have details of the plug for the outboard motor well?
my Mark 3 RL24 is missing the plug that fills the motor well when the motor is raised. does anyone have a) a spare one that they might part with? or b) pics or drawings of one that I might be able to use to make a new one?

Re: Does anyone have details of the plug for the outboard motor well?
Peter from what I have seen all the well openings are different, at least on the MKI & MKII's, just depended on how the owner at the time cut it out. I will stand corrected on this but I believe the boats came, without a hole through the hull in case the owner didn't wish to use the well for the outboard. Rob will be able to help with this info but I would say you will just need to make one from scratch.

Peter.
What Darryn said is correct as most boats were supplied without the opening, at that time the idea was new and it took some time to be accepted. However to answer your origonal question it is easy to create a new plug by simply taping laminex peices over the outside of the hull to form the shape, then lay up the new plug from the inside including the lip to prevent the plug from falling thru.
Just remember to grind a release angle on the edges of the hole first and use release wax around the edges and on the inside and outside of the hull.
