    Replace Swing Keel With Drop Keel RL 24
    I would like to enquire if anyone could advise me on the wieght of the bulb on a drop keel if I was to replace the existing swing keel with a drop keel. I believe the existing steel keel is approximately 120KG.The depth of the keel outside the hull would be 1.3 metres.
    Also with a drop keel how much of the keel blade needs to remain in the keel drop box.

    If you tell us where you live, someone might be able to help by letting you inspect a drop keel yacht.

    The proper factory drop keels have a flexible rig completely different to earlier rigs. The proper drop keel RL24s are very different to the swing keel RL24.

    My boat originally had a swing keel and was converted. If your in Sydney glad to show you
