Cabin entry Rl 28 modifications
Hi I notice from previous discussions a long time ago that some rl 28's have had their cabin entry modified for easier entry for the more flexibily challenged. Someone suggested that perhaps they would post some photos and/or designs but I could not see any photos etc. Has anyone done this modification? Any photos? Designs?

Robin , next time you get a chance could you detail the traveller set up ?
My wife finds the current companion way a bit challenging .

Re: Cabin entry Rl 28 modifications
last one. You can see in this pic that the previous owner removed the end of the settee next to the galley. It really opens up the saloon area and galley

Re: Cabin entry Rl 28 modifications
Careful with a full width traveller in my location. There is a conflict with the genoa winches and cleats and mainsheet. The reason I put it there is it doesn't break up the cockpit. I am not sure you really need all the width anyway as the cockpit coaming is so high it defeats the use of a wide traveller. It is accessible from the helm which was my other consideration but you may find you won't be playing the traveller that much. The 28 is a beast of a boat and doesn't seem to benefit from incessant mainsheet trimming like lighter boats.
This is the traveller anyway. https://www.lewmar.com/node/14612
