 RL24 trailer winch. | Just had a failure of the winch on my trailer. Drum blew out and so will need to replace the winch. What is everyone using with their RL24 and have they had any problems with what they are using.

| Re: RL24 trailer winch. |  Owen, I guess you have probably sorted this out by now, I use a two speed winch and am still using a cable, although many are using a webbing strap instead. My winch is old and pretty sure there are no markings on it so I am unsure of the ratios. Your welcome to come around and see if you'd like.

| Re: RL24 trailer winch. | Thanks for the pics. I got lazy and put a cheap Chinese 4500lb atv winch on. It's doubled back through a pully to the post from the boat making it 9000lbs. Pulls boat up without blinking.
