information on painting plus Vevor trailer moving unit
I am new owner whith on old RL2 which I am plannng to restore. I live in central Sydney so find spaces for my boat restricted. Moving the trailer and boat is an issue and I considerinig buying the "Vevor" trailer dolly which has a small electric engine to moneuvrre the trailer when not attached to vehicle. Does anyone have any experience of these?
Secondly the plan is to repaint the boat interior and exterior and also seal or do something with the antifoul painted part hull. Someone told me the big firms do this work can be very pricey and it is better to find an individual with skills and knowledge to do the job well. Can anyone suggest a business which does this sort of work?

Re: information on painting plus Vevor trailer moving unit
Like you, my RL24 had the bottom anti fouled. It was starting to flake off. I thrived painting over the patches but that did not work very well. In the end, I bit the bullet and using a paint scrapper with a Stanley knife blade in kit, I scrapped every bit of antifouling off the hull over a 4 week period! Horrible work!! I painted her with International Yachts 1 pack gloss enamel paint.
In hind sight, I would have used a NORGLASS paint and preferably a 2 pack epoxy enamel. I have found contacting NORGLASS and talking with their experts has been very helpful with other tasks I have done on the boat and swing Keel.
